I'm building an RV-8!

I've been flying now for 32 years and have always wanted to have my own aircraft. With the type of aircraft I want, I simply couldn't afford to drop that kind of money at one time, so the other option was to build. After convincing my wife, the build was decided!

The RV-8 will meet the requirements of what I want. A fast, responsive aircraft, that has a reasonable cross country speed/range and can do mild aerobatics.

I'm forcasting a 8-10 year build, based on my projected costs and as I'm currently flying an assortment of aircraft like the T-6 Harvard/Texan, Bellanca Scout, C-172, I'm in no rush to get it done.

 Cheers,

 Build time to date:

 Empennage: 117.45 hours
 Wings: 286.90 hours
 Fuselage: In progress
